THE MATRIX

This movie was good, ive seen it too many times to have anything stick out. Its a good movie, my favorite scene is when neo goes to save morphias from the matrix. In this scene neo fights a bunch of police officers. its the main fight scene in the movie, there is a lot of shooting that completely destroys the surroundings. I liek this scene because its pretty cool how the director uses slow motion and views to make the fight look a lot more interesting.

Brazil.

Brazil had to be my least favorite movie out of these two weeks. It was not hard to follow it just had no plot and it just was too slow not to mention too long. Anyhow my favorite scenes were when sam had his strange dreams when he had wings and he was basically an angel saving his lover(who he didnt know until later in the movie). I chose these scenes as my favorite because of how strange they were and I though it was pretty funny seeing this guy have such a strange reoccurring dream.

A.I.

Artificial intelligence is a really cheesy or corny movie. The acting is done very well and is believable. My favorite scene is when he is walking through the city and he looks around for the same reasons of my other favorite scenes in the other movies that i watched, because you get to see the city. I love watching movies that have scenes that show entire cities.

Planet of the Apes

This movie is a good idea for a movie but the execution was not that good. The make up was ok but you could tell that they were human (I wasnt completely convinced) there were a couple scenes where you could see the human teeth inside of the mask. overall my favorite scene was when taylor was dragged through the city because you could see the entire city.

2001. (i ride a monolith to school)

oh yes 2001... what a strange, interestingly slow and....... really strange movie. This movie is very hard for me to comprehend what is going on. I admit it I cheated and looked online for what was happening during the ending of the movie. I wish i hadn't though I would of had enjoyed wondering for years what the heck was going (as peter had done) but unfortunately I gave way to my curiosity and cheated ):. Any way my favorite scene is the ending when all the lights are flying by.

the day the earth stood still.

This movie has to be one of my favorites. I love the actors in this film (very believable and committed). I used to question why critics always chose old black and white films over new films i now understand that just because its old doesn't mean its bad. I really do mean it when i say this is my new favorite movie. My favorite scene is when the space ship first arrives and the reactions of the crowd. (first extreme fear then curiosity and then fear again.)

the thing from another world.

I only saw a couple minuets of this movie because I left class early but from what i did see it was pretty good. The thing just arose from the ice and i left. The actors were good and believable but the monster could have had better makeup done.

Frankenstein

What strikes you about this film?

In the movie Frankenstein (the original) the scene where Frankenstein has just escaped and started to play with a girl. The girl says, "i can make a boat, watch", then she throws a flower and it floats. So then Frankenstein imitates the little girl and does the same, he throws all the flowers in the water then looks at the little girl. He picks up the little girl, tosses her into the water and walks away looking confused. In that scene Frankenstein didnt understand that you cant throw people into water and expect nothing to happen. All of the citizens didnt understand what he was doing and eventually that was the reason for his death.
